NEAL PORTNOY JOINS ARTIST GROUP AT WISSE, HOLLMANN & CO.
Accomplished Sports Illustrator is Added to Team of Well-known Artists
Raleigh, N.C. (June 26, 2002) - Wisse, Hollmann & Company has recently added Neal Portnoy, a well-known sports illustrator and caricature artist, to their list of represented artists. Known as the "Norman Rockwell of Sports Artists", Portnoy has an extensive clientele ranging from professional sports teams, numerous NCAA schools and several charitable organizations including The Children's Miracle Network. Some of Portnoy's original artwork hangs in the homes of celebrities such as the late Frank Sinatra and Jack Nicklaus.
"Neal has the professional expertise, creativity, and talent to capture any person or occasion," says former client Jeff Twiss, vice president of Boston Celtic media relations. "It's a difficult task to recreate an image from a photograph or a picture, but Neal does it. His work is always of the highest quality and detail."
Portnoy's art brilliantly captures the essence of the athlete, team or historic moment and can be found at numerous halls of fame and other sports attractions. He is also one of the most prolific creators of media guide, team yearbook and game program covers.
Wisse, Hollmann & Co., LLC was spun off from Richard French & Associates, North Carolina's largest public relations and creative marketing company, in June 2001 to offer corporate and industrial clients a dedicated resource for sponsorship sales, evaluation, negotiation and activation. In addition, the company operates an artist, athlete and sports property representation practice, which serves as the sales arm for some of the world's top artists, athletes, sports teams and leagues.
